The Ministry of Works is a Professional Service Ministry charged with the responsibility of providing Technical Services such as Design, Construction and Maintenance of State Roads, and provision of Mechanical and Electrical Services.

The history of this Ministry dates back to 1967 when the State was created. It is considered as an engine room of growth and development of the State, due to its strategic importance.

The Sustainable Development Goals or Global Goals are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all". The SDGs were set up in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030.
